Our speaker Linda Sullivan from Colourwerx was wonderful. Seeing what can be done with colors and different sets of colors was inspiring.

Attendance was also wonderful. It is so great to see so many members attend and have new members and guests. The directory is available and you can pick yours up from the Membership table.

The Library Challenge will be a wonderful display for our many talented people and show a wide variety of what we have in our Library. Be sure to sign up with Gloria to participate. And remember, you keep your quilt.

May 15 will be our Spring Fling. It is a potluck and a time to just enjoy our members. Penny has plans for a game also. This will be a good time for sew and share also.

Our 1st VP is setting up workshops for the 2020 Desert Quilt Show boutique. These events are listed in the calendar.

Another important date is May 8, 2019. We will have our New Member Tea. This will be a time to let our New Members know of our many community projects and what each Officer and Committee Chairperson(s) do for our Guild. New Members, plan to arrive between 9 and 9:30 AM on May 8.

I JUST LOVE THIS GUILD!!!!

Now I feel better, I just needed to say that. If you were unable to attend our July meeting you really missed something special. My hat is off to our Community Service Chair and the wonderful job she did with the PB&J Challenge. It was a huge success. I believe there were 39 quilts that were entered in the challenge and they were all beautiful works of art and love. My hat is off again to everyone who participated.

 

We had guests from 5 of our local service organizations attend:

  • CHP
  • Hospice
  • Head Start
  • PASS
  • Banning’s Christmas Wish

All of the organizations left with quilts and pillow cases to fit their needs. Throughout the day I kept hearing positive comments from members and guests alike about our kindness and generosity.

I know that the things our Guild does will live on forever.

Again I will say I JUST LOVE THIS GUILD! Thank you ladies for all you do.

2018 Fall Retreat

Our 2018 Fall Retreat scheduled for September, will be in Hemet this year at a Guest Ranch full of amenities. Classes, games, food, love of quilting, and plenty of friendship are in store for participants.

We have tables you can use to pin your quilt sandwiches, cut pieces, sew, or just visit.
